I
was born in Tenerife (Canary Islands) in 1982. Until when I was 23 years old,
I was a non-skillful surfer, but at 20 years old, I started my biology
studies at La Laguna University and began to be interested in Canarian
Endemic flora and fauna. Fortunately, my town is located into the Teno
massif, an important biodiversity hot spot in the Canary Islands. In this
place, several endemic plants like Navaea phoenicea, Vieraea
laevigata and Euphorbia bourgeauana, as well as the
restricted populations of Ospreys, Manx Shearwaters, Rock Sparrows and
Canarian Spotted lizards have attracted my attention. Currently, I am doing
my Ph-D in Seville (Doñana Biological Station) on migratory connectivity of the Lesser Kestrel.
