Since January 2009 the headquarters of the Doñana Biological Station are housed at Isla de la Cartuja, a scientific-technological park constructed for the Universal Exposition of 1992 held in Seville. The central building holds the Administration offices, Departments, Laboratories, Library, Scientific Collection of Vertebrates, several supporting infrastructures, etc. This new building has been made according to the specific neccesities of the researchers, improving substantially the working areas of the institute. The former headquarters of the EBD, the Peru Pavilion (Ibero-American Expo of 1929), is used by a special unit dedicated to Scientific Culture and Outreach and the regional Delegation of the CSIC in Andalucía.
