Spanish Vice-President and Minister María Jesús Montero visits the Doñana Biological Station
The First Vice-President of the Government of Spain and Minister for Treasury, María Jesús Montero, visited today the Doñana Biological Station – CSIC to learn first-hand about the scientific research carried out at the center in the fields of ecology, biodiversity conservation, and evolution.
Upon her arrival, she was welcomed by Margarita Paneque, the CSIC institutional delegate in Andalusia; Eloy Revilla, director of the Doñana Biological Station; Manuela G. Forero, deputy director for Research; and José Antonio Godoy, deputy technical director.
After a short meeting with the press, she visited the center’s facilities, beginning with the GIS and Remote Sensing Laboratory, followed by the Ecophysiology Laboratory, the Aquatic Ecology Laboratory, the Molecular Ecology Laboratory, the Stable Isotopes Laboratory, and the Climate Chambers. To conclude her visit, she made a brief stop at the Scientific Collections.
