LiveDeadFossil video

LiveDeadFossil video

In the context of the LiveDeadFossil Marie Sk?odowska-Curie Project, the researchers from the EBD-CSIC, M. Soledad Domingo and Juan J. Negro, together with Catherine Badgley (University of Michigan) are conducting a taphonomic monitoring of the vertebrate death assemblage of Doñana National Park (DNP) (Spain).

Taphonomy is the interdisciplinary science, between the fields of Biology and Geology, that evaluates the processes of fossilization. Modern death assemblages provide a basis for understanding what components of living communities may be preserved in the fossil record and what biases are to be expected.
