I have a Bachelor's degree in Natural and Environmental Sciences from the University of Parma, Italy. I then successfully graduated from a two-year international Master's program at Uppsala University in Sweden. During my time in Uppsala, I applied for an Erasmus+ Traineeship, which led me to move to Seville to the Estación Biológica de Doñana, where I conducted my Master's thesis under the supervision of my current supervisor, José A. Godoy López.

The PhD I am pursuing is a continuation of my Master's project and focuses on the evaluation of genetic rescue in the Iberian lynx. The key aspects of my PhD include genetic diversity, inbreeding, ancestry, fitness, gene flow, evaluation of the captive breeding program, landscape genetics, patterns of dispersal and mate selection, and marking behavior.
