About the talk

Temperature is one of the most important factors shaping animal phenotypes. I will discuss how the evolution of live birth facilitates the colonization of cold habitats and promotes phenotypic diversification in lizards from North and South America, and how Caribbean anole lizards are rapidly adjusting to climate warming.

About the speaker

I am an integrative evolutionary ecologist interested in understanding the processes and patterns of animal phenotypic diversification in an ever-changing thermal world. My research primarily focuses on squamate reptiles (lizards and snakes), the most diverse group of terrestrial vertebrates.
