I am a Plant Evolutionary Ecologist particularly interested in the ecological interactions between plants and animals, the evolution of mating system and the contribution of epigenetic regulation in shaping these two evolutionary processes in wild plant populations. I conduct multidisciplinary research, combining field work and controlled experimental designs, which involve phenotypic characterization, interaction estimates and their fitness consequences (pollination success, seed production, size) and (epi)genetic analyses. I mostly work in Mediterranean ecosystems and the analysis of the specific features for evolutionary process in them has become also a topic in my research agenda.
