The Doñana Biological Station carries out the ringing of 193 young glossy ibis in Doñana, an activity that has not been done for two years. It took place at the José Antonio Valverde visitor center, which is located in the Doñana marsh, and had the participation of volunteers from SEO Bird Life and the technical support from the Doñana Natural Area.

Waterbird communities are potential indicators of ecological changes in threatened wetland ecosystems and a potential object of ecological monitoring programs. Waterbirds often breed in largely inaccessible colonies in flooded habitats, so unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) surveys provide a robust method for estimating their breeding population size. In this study the main breeding colony of Glossy ibis (Plegadis falcinellus) at the Doñana National Park was surveyed.

The sex ratio is an important parameter affecting population demographics. This is a study of the mechanisms and causes of changes over time in the sex ratio of the glossy ibis (Plegadis falcinellus) in the main breeding colony in Doñana.
