My research in population ecology has focused on three main areas: modelling population dynamics, movement ecology, animal physiology, as well as microbiology and emerging diseases. The overall aim of my research is to improve our understanding of the factors that regulate the population dynamics of long-lived species at the metapopulation level, with a view to managing these species for conservation purposes.
