José María
Fedriani
He is a community ecologist and evolutionary biologist whose research focuses on the patterns, mechanisms, and consequences of plant–animal interactions in the context of global change. His work integrates ecological, microevolutionary, and applied approaches to understand how these interactions underpin key ecosystem processes, including pollination and seed dispersal.
A major focus of his research is to examine how climate change, defaunation, and other environmental disturbances alter these interactions and the ecosystem services they provide.
The transfer of this knowledge contributes to the development of tools and strategies for biodiversity conservation and ecosystem management.
