Laura E.
Gangoso

His research focuses on the interaction between behavioural, evolutionary and population ecology, with a clear emphasis on biodiversity conservation. He studies the role played by genetic variation and associated phenotypic traits, and their relationship with plasticity, in the way organisms interact with one another and respond to environmental changes. He combines a range of methods, from behavioural observation to the use of individual data, experiments, long-term population data sets and genetic analyses, all underpinned by extensive fieldwork. In recent years, his main system of study has been the population of Eleonora’s falcons nesting in the Canary Islands.
