His main interest lies in understanding the physiological processes that govern responses to global changes in vertebrates, particularly in ectotherms such as amphibians and reptiles. To this end, his research covers a wide range of study species, environmental conditions and physiological parameters, from an ecological and evolutionary perspective. Most of his studies are experimental, but he is also interested in more meta-analytical and theoretical approaches.
