We study how phenotypes evolve, how species richness accumulates and the factors that drive it. We also study life history evolution. To address these questions we mostly employ phylogenetic comparative methods and use a diversity of model systems. We not only use phylogenetic comparative methods but also actively contribute to the development of novel analytical approaches.
