Tania Hortal Hurtado

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences and a Master's degree in Olive Growing and Olive Oil from the University of Jaén, where I am currently pursuing my PhD in the Doctoral Programme in Earth and Environmental Science and Technology. My research is carried out at the Doñana Biological Station (EBD-CSIC) and focuses on carbon balance, carbon footprint, and soil fertility in olive groves under different management systems in the Doñana region. To address these questions, I combine fieldwork, laboratory analyses, and data analysis to assess the potential of regenerative agriculture to improve the sustainability of agricultural systems and contribute to climate change mitigation.
