His research focuses on understanding the ecological processes that determine the distribution of biodiversity across different spatial and temporal scales in a context of widespread environmental change. He is an expert in data and computational modelling, with a view to developing digital tools to facilitate decision-making in the management and restoration of aquatic ecosystems, particularly wetlands.
