Sánchez García
Biologist and MSc in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology from the University of Seville. I am currently conducting my PhD research under the supervision of Andy Green and Joaquín Ortego. My work focuses on the effect of long-distance dispersal (LDD) by waterbirds on the population genomics of invasive and endemic wetland plants, using GBS techniques.
My research interests are understanding, from an ecological perspective, how biotic and abiotic factors shape the genomics of organisms and influence their evolution.
Thesis: Waterbird-mediated plant dispersal in European wetlands: Insights from genomics, ecology and spatial modelling
Supervisors: Andy J. Green and Joaquín Ortego
